FAQ
Offer, Deposit & CAS: common questions
What is a CAS?
A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies is an electronic reference number your university issues once you have accepted an unconditional offer. You need it to apply for a UK Student visa.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Most UK universities ask international students for a tuition deposit before issuing a CAS. The amount varies by university; we’ll tell you exactly what applies to your offer.
